Although I enjoy teaching over a wide range of genres, I excel at coaching students for Royal Conservatory of Music exams from preparatory to Grade 10, and including ARCT Performance. In addition to repertoire and technical requirements, I include ear training and sight reading development so students are not only musically well-rounded, but prepared for their exams.
I also offer music theory preparation for basic, intermediate, and advanced rudiments, compositions, harmony, and polyphony.
My studio houses an upright piano and a baby grand for more advanced students.
Music for Kids!
I build a solid musical foundation by offering exceptional training in multiple disciplines for students of all ages. I also understand that when teaching children, it is important to utilize special, creative and dynamic techniques in order to make it FUN! It is essential for a child to have fun while learning their instruments, music notation and honing their techniques in order to ensure they will continue to feel passion for music throughout their lifetime. When a student knows how to read music, they will play music all their life.
